Terms of Use
Last updated
By using TempMailCode you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What TempMailCode is for
TempMailCode gives you a free, temporary, receive-only email address. It's meant for short-term, low-stakes uses such as:
- receiving sign-up confirmations and verification codes;
- trying a service or download without sharing your real address;
- forums, newsletters, WiFi portals and similar one-off sign-ups;
- testing your own software's email flows.
What you must not do
- Use the service for fraud, scams, phishing or identity theft, or to impersonate anyone.
- Get around a ban, suspension or limit that another service has placed on you.
- Create accounts in bulk to abuse free trials, promotions, votes or referral schemes.
- Receive, store or share anything illegal, including content that exploits children.
- Harass, threaten or spam anyone.
- Overload, scrape, probe or attack the service, or try to read inboxes that aren't yours. Automated use belongs on our developer API, within its limits.
- Break any law that applies to you or to the service you're signing up for.
Some websites don't allow temporary email addresses in their own terms. It's your responsibility to follow the rules of the services you use.
Your address isn't private or permanent
- There is no password. Anyone who knows or guesses your exact address can read the mail sent to it.
- Messages are deleted automatically 60 minutes after they arrive, and may be lost earlier, for example when the server restarts.
- Don't use TempMailCode for banking, health, work, password resets you'll need later, or any account you'd mind losing access to.
No guarantees
TempMailCode is free and provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that:
- every email will arrive, or arrive on time;
- any particular website will accept our addresses (many block temporary email domains);
- the service will be available without interruption or errors;
- a message or code will still be there when you come back for it.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, TempMailCode and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage from using or being unable to use the service, including lost access to accounts, lost messages, or missed codes.
Our rights
We may change, limit or stop the service, add or retire email domains, and block addresses, domains, IP addresses or API keys that we believe are being misused, at any time and without notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using TempMailCode after a change means you accept the updated terms.
